Lebarca 100% Virgin Wool Blankets

Lebarca virgin wool blankets are one of a kind new to the USA. The sheep which produce the wool for these blankets are small indigenous breeds with color tones ranging from pure white to copper red, with various warm browns tones, grays, and black. These sheep are breed in the Rhodope and Pirin mountains of Eastern Europe and produce a very soft, long and strong fiber heavy wool, which is more durable than the usual merino wool with much more texture, interest and rustic appeal.

Each Lebarca blanket is hand loomed with some electric assistance and are considerably heavier in weight than most wool blankets that are for sale on the United States market today. (approximately 60 x 84 inches in size and weighting 6 to 6.5 lbs. each)
Lebarca organic wool blankets are completely Eco friendly and woven with no dyes or chemicals. They acquire their coloring only from the sheep's wool's natural tones.

They are 100% virgin wool with the lanolin still in them and are a wonderful easy care machine washable wool blanket.
Since wool has the added benefit of insulating properties even when it is wet these oversized wool throw blankets are excellent to use outdoors as stadium blankets or emergency blankets as well as for bed spreads or sofa throws.
